i assume you are talking about the tiller arm that is bolt on top of gimbal?

Yes. My gimble was replaced before I bought the boat. I have play in the tiller arm.

i have to check the condition of it. it is in a box in my boat. with all the rain it may tak a day or 2 to get to it.

did they replace the gimbal pin and only the ring? it may be the steering pin that is worn if it was not replaced.

They replaced the ring and pin. From what I see with the mirror is the pin is moving but not the arm.
