And you would achieve a much more desirable X-Dim

If it was easy everyone would be doing it.... you can't just toss parts at this stuff...needs to be planned out...

I'm putting Konrads on my top gun.. I know with a direct swap from TRS to Konrad you can get solid 5mph difference with the power I'm doing. Now I'm thinking.. If I can get my hands on a set of TRS boxes... Same trans assembly bolt partern. Bolt onto transom. Keep TRS assembly slap on the Konrad behind the TRS boxes and in theory get a few more mph ontop of the 5 from the drive swap it. In theory. Then I would grain extra mph with out going into building up the motor

I don't know that you'll gain anything with the boxes and not going up. Konrad does offer a -2" lower that might work well with the box but Konrad also offers a box. I used to have the pricing in an email but I mustve deleted it. It was right around 27k for the complete conversion standard length lower with the nose cones and no boxes. Seemed like a nice setup but heard a few mixed reviews so I went the #5 route and had them rebuilt and painted with epoxy for less than 20k. Just my .02

Also...the hp rating goes down if you only do the half conversion because they have to use a smaller u-joint to fit in the trs helmet. Food for thought.
