Jack, you’re always welcome to fly out with the family and stay with us and run. Or just you and the wife for an adult weekend in havasu. Whatever you want. Invites always open.

I just moved from the SF Bay Area to Venice Beach and the lakes are pretty slim pickins from central Cal to down south. Lake Nacimento is just up the road from Bakersfield so give that a look. Looking around Paso Robles will be your best bet until you either haul East or up to the Delta.

No, no lodge. But Santa Cruz, the second Island out, has a couple farms and a runway for planes. Anacapa has a light house and a couple two story old buildings that the park rangers use to live in while out there. I think you can see them in a couple of the pics above.
I had those islands mixed up with Catalina, I didn’t realize there several. We stayed at a place in Nosara Costa Rica for a couple nights after we flooded out our rental car crossing a creek shortly after a thunderstorm. Owners name was Randy and he told me his family once had hotel or something there. He called a local mechanic who came, worked all morning to drain the water out of the engine, got it running close to normal. lol his bill was 13$. This was 1999 or 2000.
