But the house permit was $24,000 and the dock permit was $7,500 (like mine were 15 years ago) right?

Not sure about the house/building permit but the dock permit is only several hundred bones.

Building permit for a house in Bonner co is 850$.
I couldn’t be up there so had to pay someone to do the leg work.
It took a month because someone at the county misread our topo (several times) and thought we were trying to build in a low area across the road. For shops or general farm buildings they issue something called a building location permit, which I think is more for property taxes than anything else. You still have to get the usual electric/plumbing inspection. But usually it all happens pretty quick.

I have a really good builder who is a friend of a friend and he will be handling everything. His cousin is my dock guy, who is also a state senator! FYI regarding the fun run I secured a house at the Willow Bay resort and also dock space. Really looking forward to the event and I appreciate all who organized it.

I’m assuming your dock guy is Apex, I’m waiting for quotes from him and two others for driving pilings for a boat lift. I’m not in a big hurry so maybe if he builds your dock, he could work my stuff in while he’s in the area.

Hoodoo, yes Apex is the company. They are starting in the fall, so probably before the water level drops.
