Does anyone know if there's a marina that sells premium octane fuel on the lake?

As a reference, last time we did this run (2 yrs ago) I think we put on right at 100 miles total for the day. The year before was around 90 or so.

He just posted on FB that the dates for 2025 are July 18/19. And I agree, right after Chelan makes it really tough, especially for those of us that aren't local.

Well, it was not much of a run this year. In the week leading up to the 20th, Hoodoos boat lost a drive coupler. I had been planning on jumping in NWFreeriders Doug Wright for the run, but bailed on that plan to give Hoodoo and his lovely bride our seats and fired up our boat. We all rolled into the starting spot about 10 minutes early, and sat around joined by just one other boat, a Nordic I believe. 15 minutes after start time a few performance boats had gone buy without stopping (apparently eliminator owners are too cool for our crew ) we came to the conclusion that no one else was showing up and pushed off. We modified the plan a little with a stop at Beyond Hope to pick up River Dave, who was in town and looking to explore the lake. As we pealed out of Dover, another V-bottom popped out of the marina and gave chase. I wish I wasn't so lousy with names to at least give the two other boats a shout out.
We have a good run of about 12 miles to Beyond Hope, me bringing up the rear as I have popped two motors in the last 12 months and am over it 😂, snag up River David, and all circle up before heading south to Bayview.
RD's picture of up picking him up.
NWFreerider and Hoodoo Circled up for the run to Bayview.
On the way out of Beyond hope, we see Gone Gulfing, and DCB M37, rolling south, and slow pace to see if we can intercept. He sees us, but keeps heading east so we figure they have their own plans. We head South, sticking fairly close to shoreline and giving Dave some of the history and talking about the area. Bayview is about 25 miles from beyond hope, so everyone gets to stretch their legs and push the throttles forward. We roll into MacDonalds in Bayview, snag up some dock space, and are joined by Gone Gulfing who did end up tagging along. Sorry I didnt get photos of the other two boats there with up, did a lousy job of taking pictures.

We stop for a beverage and a snack, talk with the owner of the M37, get some supplies for the Sandbar, then hit the water. We duck out in a little over an hour and head back north about 30 miles to the Sandbar. I trade Lindsey out for Hoodoo so she can ride in the DW and Hoodoo can chat with Dave.
River Dave and Hoodoo
We stop at the Sandbar for a couple hours, bust out the Snacks and some beverages. I think Dave would have been content to stay there until nightfall of the beer and Cigs supply could hold out, but alas we were tired of the sun and packed him up to take back to his family 😆. We showed him a few more sites on the way down, dropped him at Beyond Hope, and headed home where Lindsey took a two and a half hour nap.
Saying goodbye to RD
That's my story and I am sticking to it. Its a shame more boats didn't show up. Or even the people who were supposed to be organizing it. But we had a good time and at least didn't have to fight over docking space!
