| 2005 38 Fountain Lightning. Second owner and bought it back in 2007. Vessel has 525’s with XR Drives and Sport Master Shorties spinning 32P Cutting Edge Propellers. Starboard engine has 501 hours Port 498. Top ends were done at 275 hours. Heads were removed, valves checked and new valve spings, retainers and seals were installed. Starboard drive was just redone and port has a Mercury Remanufactured installed at around 300 hours. Transom was completely redone at 400 hours and since then the boat has hardly sat in the water. Always trailered in and out. Nicely equipped with shore power, transom shower, fridge, docking LED lights, Vacu flush toilet, powder coated grab handles, new GPS Speedo, LED cockpit lighting that can either be blue or white, large stereo with 3 10” woofers and 2 Alpine Amps. Paint job I believe is from Mitcher T. Has some scratches from tie ups and at the bottom the clear coat is peeling slightly from being in the water. Comes complete with Myco triple axel trailer that just had all the bearings and seals done.
Compression is down on 2 of the cylinders on each motor. Most likely from the headers leaking. Did get them welded years ago from CMI but haven’t tested in a long time. Was going to do a complete rebuild and change the headers but ended up just using it as is. Still runs very well. May still do if it doesn’t sell. |
